The Lost Projects

Here is a list of projects I completed (I swear!) but didn't document, and where they are now:
  1. chunky off-white mittens - in my grandfather's coat closet; he has much more high-tech things to keep him warm
  2. chunky off-white wool hat - in some box somewhere (it's really not even worth a photo: the top is closed by pulling the yarn tail through the last row of stitching); it was meant for my grandfather to match the mittens, but it came out a wee bit too small
  3. chunky off-white draw string backpack (what can I say, I was into the yarn for a while) - in my former roommate's closet; the best feature was the I-cord that went through eyelets in the top and turned into shoulder straps
  4. green shoulder bag with cellphone and wallet pocket - in my former roommate's friend's closet, most likely.  I don't blame her, since the yarn was too wimpy to keep a proper shape and I have yet to try felting
  5. umbilical cord hat and baby cardigan - in my former law school classmate's child's dresser drawer.  I was pretty proud of this little outfit, as I made the crochet border on the deep red cardigan in the same sun-yellow yarn as the hat (with yellow buttons, too), and then embroidered a little deep-red yarn leaf onto the hat.
  6. variegated green and blue baby blanket - being chewed and slobbered by baby Malcolm, along with the rabbit, which luckily I did not forget to photograph (check out my Ravelry entry)
Here's hoping that the list doesn't get any longer!  Maybe I would take more photos if I had a new camera . . . Oh, Lester, darling, I know it's not my birthday for another nine months, but . . .

New Beginnings . . . Again

This is my second attempt to start a blog.  Let's hope it goes better than the first, which died of neglect only a few short posts after it started.  Now that I have a new name (that's Mizz, not Mrs., to you!) and new inspiration (thanks to Ravelry and all the creative knitters and crafters sharing their creations with the world) I think I'm ready for a fresh start.

So here goes!
